Smile Podcast Production Diary (Smile Podcast)
So for my podcast I went to one of the studios to record the audio. I took a microphone, stand, pop protector and a digital interface box. For my recording software I used logic pro on the computer because it's easy to use. Here are a few pictures of my setup!
So when I was recording my podcast I made sure to try and speak with a clear voice to grab they attention of the viewer. I decided to try and make a few jokes here and there in an attempt to try and not make the podcast boring. The podcast took me about 30 minutes to record (including fails). I think that the podcast would have been longer if I wasn't doing it solo. I'd say I was quite comfortable recording my voice since I've been dabbling in similar industries for a number of years. I did a few minor issues with Logic at the start (podcast not recording) but the issues were fixed with a click of a few buttons. The room itself was very efficient and soundproof so I had no issues whatsoever. Once I was done with recording I saved my podcast to my SD card and headed back to the class room with no issues.
As a whole this process was a success and helped me develop many new skills when it comes to recording podcasts and understanding the topic. One of the key skills I developed was making sure you keep the Mic still and don't move it around to much otherwise you will ruin the audio of your podcast. I So this process has been successful for my production and overall development on the subject.
