Creative Media Smile Campaign And Canon Brief

 So when it comes to editing podcasts I will admit I'm very inexperienced and with there being no video I got a bit stuck on what to add so I kept it quite basic. For the editing software I used Logic Pro because It's practical and I already recorded the podcast using Logic so it made sense to stick with it. Logic Pro is an audio recording software often used to record audio based media such as interviews and podcasts. The computer I'm using to edit is a Apple Mac made by popular tech brand Apple.  Logic helped me put the podcast together so I could use it for this project. Without Logic I would be pretty stuck because it has been crucial to my podcast creation and production. The first thing I did was listen to my podcast and cut out all of the fails and blank parts. This makes the podcast better because there is less unnecessary filler boring the consumer.  So I decided to edit my video on Kinemaster instead of Premiere Pro because I'm more familiar with the layout, modes and settings plus I can access it from home so it is convenient. For my advert I decided to keep things fairly simple because adverts are more about convincing people to invest in your product whilst putting a point across than flexing your editing skills. One of the edits I chose to use was the pan and zoom effect. This simple yet effective edit allows you zoom in and out of videos or focus on a certain area. I used this because I thought it would help make people focus on my characters facial expressions rather than the background, equipment and shadows. Plus I think it adds a bit more flair to my advert. I decided to add non copyrighted music because my advert didn't have any dialog so it would have been pretty empty without it. I think the soundtrack I chose goes well with the theme of the advert because it starts of sad and picks up as it goes on. Track nam...

 So for my podcast I went to one of the studios to record the audio. I took a microphone, stand, pop protector and a digital interface box. For my recording software I used logic pro on the computer because it's easy to use. Here are a few pictures of my setup!  So when I was recording my podcast I made sure to try and speak with a clear voice to grab they attention of the viewer. I decided to try and make a few jokes here and there in an attempt to try and not make the podcast boring. The podcast took me about 30 minutes to record (including fails). I think that the podcast would have been longer if I wasn't doing it solo. I'd say I was quite comfortable recording my voice since I've been dabbling in similar industries for a number of years. I did a few minor issues with Logic at the start (podcast not recording) but the issues were fixed with a click of a few buttons. 12.01.22 I filmed the first part of the advert in my bedroom by using my tripod and phone to capture the shots. For the first shot I positioned the tripod towards my bed and made it taller. I did this so it is looking down at me to show that my character is mentally down. I then positioned my tripod towards the door for my second shot. I did this to try and make it so the camera is my eyes and it's seeing what I'm seeing. I then went behind the door and threw the camera through the door crack it's a bit random but it works. After that I pointed the tripod towards the ground and filmed me picking up the camera.  I then took my camera/phone out of my tripod and leaned it on my TV so I could film the showcase. I used my phone to get an alternative angle of the showcase. 24.01.22 I then went to Barnes Park to film the rest of the advert but didn't manage to take my tripod.
